Metalink - Charity Hall "Bug Jewelry: Incorporating Insect Specimens and Parts"

Charity Hall is interested in the relationships between art and science and uses a variety of entomological and botanical imagery in her work. She teaches Metalwork and Jewelry classes at Pima Community College and Tucson Parks and Recreation.
Charity will discuss the process she takes making "Bug Jewelry" - the incorporation of insect specimens and insect parts in her art jewelry.
Charity Hall received her MFA in Metal Design from East Carolina University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Colorado College and worked as a botanist and researcher in the southwestern United States before pursuing metalworking full time.

The new Lark book,

, will be available in bookstores in the Spring of 2009. Charity Hall's belt buckle, Papillon d'amour, (shown on her homepage) will be featured in the book.
