Experience the entire mokume-gane billet "making" process! Participants will work in tandem to prepare their billet material (suggested: 18 gauge copper and 18 gauge nickel silver). Using fine or sterling with copper – optional due to the cost. The goal is to have at least 19 layer billets. Students will be responsible for purchasing their own material prior to the workshop. Minimum materials should be a 6"x6" 18ga. of both the materials they would like to combine. Example 6"x6" of copper, 6"x6" fine silver. We will get as far as possible in the two days - it's important to stress results may vary, as this not a foolproof process. Participants should be able to go home with patterned material in some form; eithertwisted or a random pattern.
