This event is FREE and OPEN to the public so bring a friend. Andrea and Les will be demonstrating those fantastic hollow micro-forming tools for jewelry. And yes, they are bringing the latest and greatest forming hammers and stakes for sale...About NC BLACK Co With over 22 years experience working in metal, engraving and the art of tool making, three metalsmiths created NC BLACK Company in response to the special needs of miniature smithing, raising, and shell forming by making their own micro-tools.
FYI... NC BLACK is doing an independent one-day workshop at Metal Arts Village, Studio E on Sunday, November 27, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on GREEN ETCHING & ANTICLASTIC FORMED CUFF BRACELET. This workshop will demonstrate the galvanic process on a small scale for studio applications. Students will learn to electrically etch with minerals their own bracelet blanks (bronze, copper, or sterling silver). After etching the blanks Andrea and Les will teach them to anticlastically raise them into cuff bracelets using NC BLACK Company's end hook stakes and mallets.
