Metalink Demonstration

MAKING A SHELL FORMED BEAD is FREE and OPEN to the public. No registration required.

"Shell forming is a technique for forming sheet

metal into three-dimensional structures. The process requires the use of one hard metal tool (either hammer or stake) and one resilient tool (either a plastic or wood mallet or a plastic or wood stake).  Using these conditions the metal can be formed quickly into strong fluid shapes",  quote from Betty Helen Longhi. To see shell formed works please

visit her website.

Pat Glover had the good fortune to take a workshop with Betty Helen Longhi in NC this past summer. In the workshop, Pat learned the basics of making a

shell formed bead.  Based on her instruction from Betty Helen, Pat is going to demonstrate this tech-nique for Metalink on Saturday Nov 6 at 1PM in the Jewelry Studio at Randolph Center.
